The innovative crystalline technology within BPChem Crystaseal Admix reacts with moisture and free lime, a natural by-product of the cement hydration process. The reaction creates millions of nanocrystals which grow throughout the concrete matrix. As these crystals form, they fill and block the concrete’s capillary structure, protecting it from further water damage.
Crystalline waterproofing is an innovative technique used to prevent water penetration in concrete structures. It relies on crystalline technology, creating a network of insoluble, microscopic crystals within the concrete. Here’s how it works:
1. Application: Crystalline waterproofing can be applied either topically (to the surface of the concrete) or integrally (as part of the concrete mix design). The active ingredients typically include a blend of cementitious materials, sand, and proprietary chemicals.
